When the water awakens

Spring in the Bernese Alps arrives with water. Melting snow swells the rivers and waterfalls, gorges come back to life and the landscape around Meiringen gains a fresh, almost raw energy. This Journey connects four different faces of water — the wild Aare, glacial Rosenlaui, turquoise Lake Brienz and the waterfalls of the Lauterbrunnen valley. Active days alternate with moments when it is enough simply to stand, listen and look.

Recommendation for lovers of water and nature

This Journey is not about one great summit. It is about the transformation of water — from a narrow stream between rocks to the open surface of the lake. It works best for guests who like to spend the day outdoors but do not need to measure every outing in kilometres.
