Reservations, contract and data retention
The personal data listed above must be processed to handle orders and fulfil any contract concluded between you and the accommodation provider. Such processing is permitted under Art. 6(1)(b) of the Regulation – processing is necessary for the performance of a contract.
The accommodation provider also processes these data for contract records and to assert or defend the contractual parties’ rights and obligations where necessary. Data are retained and processed for this purpose for 10 years from completion of the final contractual performance, unless another legal provision requires longer retention of contractual documentation. Such processing is based on Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) of the Regulation – processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation and for the purposes of the controller’s legitimate interests.
Statutory guest register
The data controller is the accommodation operator stated on the Company details page. To comply with the accommodation and police regulations of the Canton of Bern, we record guests’ identification data and stay details, including gender as shown in the travel document. These data are used solely for the statutory guest register and to provide the stay, not for marketing or profiling.
Only authorised staff have access. The competent police authorities may inspect the register within the limits set by law. Register data are retained for at least five years after the end of the stay and are then deleted from the operational system. You may request access or rectification and, where statutory retention no longer applies, erasure by contacting the operator.
Commercial communications
You may unsubscribe from newsletters and commercial communications at any time via the link in the message or by email to info@keseya.ch. Data obtained for the mandatory guest register are not used for marketing or profiling.
