Since 1892, the cog railway has been climbing from Brienz towards Rothorn Kulm. Steam, the sound of the locomotive and the slow journey through meadows and forests are just as important a part of the day as the panorama awaiting at the top.
On clear days, the view opens across Lake Brienz to the Bernese and Central Swiss Alps. We recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends and during the main summer season.
